Maureen, from Hawai’i, created this Kozy Korner piece from a NAME project. She commissioned Dale Chimel to make the cushions for the benches, the curtains and the rug. Larry Herman gave Maureen the bamboo dishes which inspired the color scheme.
The Hobby Builder’s Supply roombox kit was embellished with a faux window made by Maureen. Ray Haake created the matching chairs for the table, the tea cart and the shelves. Maureen collected teapots especially for this project; including pieces from Janice Crawley, Hermania Anslinger, Valerie Casson and others. Marsha Hedrick made a tea set to match the bamboo dishes. The battery operated lights are from Sutton Miniatures.

Love it! Please show me the bamboo dishes. I’ve never seen them.

I love this room. It is so comfortable feeling. It looks to me like a combination of the two NAME Day kits from 2010 (Cupboard) and 2014 (A Cozy Corner). What a great way to feature the teapot collection.

Thank you for the nice complements’ Actually I had all the pieces made by Ray Haake (other than the Kosy Korner). I never made that NAME cupboard project sorry to say.
This scene actually made me start collecting just teapots. I had always collected miniature china, in fact it’s one of my miniature obsessions along with miniature paintings and really tiny dolls.
I am trying to add photos of the bamboo plates (which do not have any markings) and the teaset (made to match by Marsha Hedrick). Not sure if I’m able to do it.
