The MiniCals miniature club hosted a workshop taught by Carlene Brown on February 16, 2018. The workshop participants created seasonal sideboards with their choice of graphics.

Carlene has been a dealer at the Good Sam Showcase of Miniatures and
offers both completed staged and unfinished sideboards and market stalls, along with accessories.

Thank you to Rhona Lee for the photos of the participants and completed prototypes.

Last chance to sign up for the MiniCals workshop with Carlene Brown.

Carlene will give you a choice from 8 “Seasonal Sideboards” (7″x4 1/2″x2 1/2″). The sideboard has an upper shelf with fancy corbels, a lower shelf and 2 decorative drawers. Add some wallpaper, paint, antique wash and inked edges for that shabby chic look! $55.

Please bring a tool kit and a sack lunch. Beverages will be provided. You will receive an email if extra supplies are needed.

Includes everything needed to complete it. Macramé a hanging basket and fern, create a flat of seedlings and decorate a gardening hat. Lots of accessories! Cost TBD.

May 18 – Lemon Treats from Polymer Clay
Jasmin Schwarz (Bitty Bits and Bobs) will be demonstrating a variety of techniques for polymer clay with a lemon flavor, including the method for building a lemon cane. For us novices, that is the long tube of lemon that looks like lemon slices when thinly sliced.  Students may choose a variety of lemon treats to make for their own Summertime vignette. $35

Photos from the MiniCals Porch Workshops

Early this year, the MiniCals club hosted 3 workshops entitled, “The Back Porch.” Participants met at M&L Precision in Morgan Hill, CA, to create 1″ scale scenes.

Carlene Brown: Japanese Tea House

Carlene Brown created this Japanese Tea House from a State Day project put on by Our Little Mini Club from Paradise-Chico, CA. Margaret Gordus and Carlene were the co-chairs of the State Day. The tea house was exhibited at the NAME Sacramento Houseparty.
