Miniaturists in the Sacramento area are hosting a series of hands-on workshops. Class sizes are limited, so be sure to reserve your seat early. WORKSHOP 1: “The Cabinet of Lost & Found” First Annual Tiny Talk at Red Hawk Event

Cost: $60 includes 1:12 scale cabinet kit and buffet style lunch

Join the Sacramento area miniaturists for their first annual Miniature Play Day — a fun-filled day of mini making, networking and merriment. The day will begin with putting together the 1:12 scale cabinets and decorating them after lunch. Attendees will receive a laser cut cabinet kit. Bring your own tools and glue (a list of recommended tools will be supplied after registration). Supplies will also be available for sharing. You will receive some adorable accessories for your cabinet. Ideas for your cabinet: sewing room cabinet, crafter’s cabinet, apothecary, witch’s hutch.
Create your own vision of a “Hope Chest” to share at the event.
We will vote on the winner during the day. The prize for the best hope chest will be free admission to next year’s Tiny Talk at Red Hawk event.

WORKSHOP 2: Polymer Clay Techniques with Terezinha Justino (TZMinis)

New to polymer clay? This beginner technique class is the perfect introduction. Designed for complete beginners, the class will cover the basics of conditioning clay, blending colors, and learning simple techniques that form the foundation for endless creative projects. Participants will receive hands-on guidance exploring texture, shaping, and finishing tips. Everyone will leave with finished pieces and the confidence to keep creating at home. Tools to bring to class: tweezers, small scissors, X-Acto knife, size small tip 00 or 0 paintbrush, and personal tools. The instructor will bring other tools and materials needed for students to use in class. No prior experience is needed.

WORKSHOP 3: “Sip & Paint” with Roslyn Jacobs at the Miniatures in the Wine Country Show and Sale
Saturday, May 2, 2026; 3:30pm-5:30pm
Miniatures in the Wine Country Show and Sale, Lodi Grape Festival Grounds, 413 E. Lockeford St., Lodi, CA 95240
Cost: $50
Skill Level: All
The instructor will take participants step-by-step from blank canvas to their very own masterpiece, all while enjoying some drinks, snacks, and laughs with favorite miniaturists. No experience necessary. Materials, beverages and snacks are included. Please advise of any allergies prior to the class. Two beverages are included in the cost of the ticket. The workshop will take place in the vendor hall after the showroom closes. Registration deadline: April 10, 2026.
