Photos from the MiniCals Wire Mesh Workshop

On Saturday, February 22nd, 2020, Karen Laisure led a workshop in Morgan Hill, California. Over twenty miniaturists participated, using wire mesh to create garden baskets and props. After carefully stretching, bending, folding and gluing the props to jewelry findings and wood, the pieces were simply painted and aged with acrylic paints. It was an easy, laid-back day.

Thank you to Rhona Lee for the photos. Some of the pieces in the photos were created by artisans, and were used as inspiration for the class.

The MiniCals will be hosting a workshop to create a 1″ scale attic room with a Tudor style exterior on April 25, 2020, in Morgan Hill, California. Contact Ruth Heisch for more info.
